Biography

Mr. Wang joined Markland Hanley in January 2010. His practice focuses on complex litigation in which engineering, medical, scientific and other technical issues are of particular significance, including the defense of product liability actions.

In 2009, Michael earned a Juris Doctor with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, where he was a recipient of the Robert S. Strauss Endowed Presidential Scholarship. As a law student, Michael served for two years as an Editor of the Review of Litigation. He also took part in courses that included oral advocacy and writing components. Michael further honed his advocacy skills by participating in the University of Texas at Austin School of Law’s Children’s Rights Clinic, where he appeared in the Travis County District Court as a student attorney ad litem representing children in cases in which the state of Texas sought custody based on allegations of child abuse or neglect.

Michael received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2006. His undergraduate studies include one year at the University of Houston Honors College, where he maintained a place on the Dean’s List.
